Aluminum Can Recycling

This is a reminder that Trinity recycles aluminum cans (drink cans only). The receptacles are located in the fenced area behind the Fellowship Hall kitchen. You can't miss it - there is a sign posted on the gate - just toss your bagged cans (squash them if you can, but it's ok if you can't). Proceeds go to special projects.

Trinity Lutheran Academy Renovation Summary

Members from the Board of Governors and the Board of Church Properties met regularly to work on restoration and renovation of the Trinity Lutheran Academy building following the devastating water leak (flood) over Christmas.

The restoration is now complete and moving items back into the school has begun. Volunteers are still welcome to help out! Click Here to view the Volunteer Opportunities.

You can help pull us over the finish line by contributing what you can to help equip the classrooms with items lost in the flooded building. Although we salvaged as much as we could, the TLA needs to purchase essential items such as mattresses and bedding, furniture, books and toys, teaching tools and cleaning supplies. Just click on this donation page to make your donation. Thrivent will cover any credit card fees, so 100 percent of donations will go to TLA. You can also go to Trinity's website or place your donation in the collection plate, marked TLA. Feel free to share this link with friends and family!

Additionally, We are planning to run an online silent auction, proceeds to go to TLA. If you have goods or services you would like to donate to the auction, please contact Janet Rodekohr or the church office.

If you have any pictures of the school in its various stages of renovation, please send them to church@trinity-athens.org!

The 2nd Annual Patchwork Concert

Mark your calendars! Sunday, October 22nd, is the second annual Patchwork Concert. This event began last year as a way to bring in the community to admire the beautiful work our Sew-n-Sows do on the quilts every year, as well as a way for musicians in the community to present a program of hymns. This year promises to be another wonderful concert. If you or someone you know is interested in performing at this event, please contact Anne Weaver.

Calling All Our Trinity Veterans

We would like to honor our church Veterans on Sunday, November 12th. We would like to have a picture of you in uniform, if possible, with your name, rank, branch of service, and years of service. Please submit this information to Anne Weaver in the church office by Friday, October 27th. Thank you for your service.
