The Chancel choir is open to anyone high school age or beyond. Our music repertoire ranges from Bach, Brahms, and Mendelssohn to John Rutter and Joseph Martin. Members are encouraged to use their rehearsal CDs to prepare for each week's practice and time is spent learning music theory as well as singing. During the year, special attention is paid to festival Sundays and larger works are done seasonally. No experience is necessary to join us. Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings from 6pm until 8pm in the church Sanctuary.
The adult handbell choir is comprised of ringers of high school age and older. While we have ringers of varied experience levels, we endeavor to learn theory and techniques as an ensemble for use in leading worship. Our repertoire includes the Divine Setting of the liturgy as well as classical and sacred pieces. While no experience is necessary, a commitment to this group is essential to its ability to consistently lead worship in a unified manner. Rehearsals are in the Sanctuary every Thursday evening from 8pm until 9pm. The handbell choir has a 3 octave set of Malmark English Handbells and participates in area workshops throughout the year.
