In seven years, we will be celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, which was begun by Martin Luther in 1517.
Our task in the following weeks will be to look at the principles that Luther rediscovered from the Holy Scriptures. What does the Bible mean by the terms “Grace,” “Faith,” “Law,” “Gospel,” “Sin,” “Atonement,” “Forgiveness,” “Holiness,” “Righteousness,” etc.
We will also look at the meaning of the sacraments, how we should pray and how we should serve Christ in our daily lives. Finally, we will try to answer the question, why should we be Lutherans and what our responsibility is to advance the kingdom of God.
