Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens, Georgia is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. As Lutheran Christians, we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Promised Messiah, whose suffering, death and resurrection secured our eternal salvation. Not only do we invite fellow Christians to worship with us in our Christian fellowship, but we also invite those who wish to investigate the Christian faith to join our classes designed to present the Christian faith with no obligation to the students.
We celebrate the Sacrament of the Altar at all Sunday services. In this Sacrament, we believe that Jesus is truly present in the elements of bread and wine to grant us forgiveness of sins, strengthening of faith and communion of fellowship with other Christians. We invite all confirmed Christians, who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, our Savior; who believe that Jesus is truly present in the elements and who lamenting of sins, intend to amend their sinful lives, to join us in this sacred meal.
